Ohio's Twice Exceptional Students: A Status Study

Parents Helping Children: A Manual for Parents

During the four years of the project, parents were involved in regular meetings in which they had opportunities to discuss issues of concern to them, to learn strategies for improving their children's behavior at home and attitude toward school, to identify situations causing stress in their lives, and to discuss strategies for addressing those situations. This manual contains some of the material developed for these parent meetings and other resource material designed to be useful to parents.

Teaching Social Skills: Lessons Plans for Improving Social Skills

The social skills materials are based on the work of Dr. Thomas Stephens with the Social Behavior Assessment Inventory as a basis of instruction. They are designed to be used as part of an elementary social skills curriculum. These materials focus on groups of behavior determined to be important for student success and represent a sample of the types of social skills that are amenable to direct instruction based upon ongoing assessment of students.
