Locating Potential Funding Sources

Grant Center staff draw upon a number of diverse sources to locate and maintain a large database of funding opportunities. Staff regularly reviews The Federal Register, a comprehensive listing of all federal grant opportunities and researches federal websites for grant competitions. Weekly and monthly grant newsletters and research funding opportunities are also reviewed on an ongoing basis.

For a small fee, members are provided with "Grant Search" reports, outlining grant opportunities in their stated areas of interest. Contracts for one time or regular reports (e.g., once per month) are available. The reports include:

  • Summary of the purpose and/or scope of the grant program
  • Necessary contact and timeline information
  • Suggestions on format and appearance of proposals
  • Outline of all information to be included in the proposal
  • Tips for applying to the competition
