Ohio's Interuniversity Special Education Forum

Mission Statement

"The Forum" provides opportunities for open, professional discussions about special education policy and practices in higher education programs and how they relate to school practice and other service agencies.

Membership is by invitation only and is open to university faculty who engage in the preparation of personnel, research, and demonstration projects in special education and related fields.

Discussions occur in an Annual Meeting and throughout the year via the Internet and other means, including print media. Proceedings are posted on the School Study Council of Ohio's (SSCO) website and copies are provided to related organizations as needed.

The Forum is sponsored by the School Study Council of Ohio (SSCO) and is governed by the Forum's Advisory Committee and through its steering committees.

Ohio's Interuniversity Special Education Forum is the successor to the Special Education Personnel Development Advisory Committee, and has been constituted under the auspices of the School Study Council of Ohio.
