Substitute Teacher Training Schedule
2009/2010 |
The Ohio Center for Substitute Teachers offers professional development for current or aspiring substitute teachers. A one-day session provides the tools needed to be successful in the classroom, including
- Strategies for effective classroom and student management
- An understanding of professional behavior and ethics
- The basics of lesson planning and interpretation
- An overview of school expectations and procedures
A $75.00 fee, payable by the participant, includes all materials, a substitute teacher resource manual, lunch and online follow-up support. An SSCO Certificate of Participation is awarded to those who successfully complete the training. |

PRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
To ensure adequate space and materials for participants, registration and payment must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the workshop. No on-site registration will be accepted. Refunds will be given only if the session is cancelled or the registrant cancels with a minimum notice of 3 working days. Click here for registration (PDF file) or register on-line.
