Attention Gifted/Talented Coordinators and Directors
2010 Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted Announcement

The School Study Council of Ohio Board of Trustees approved a motion to issue applications for the 2010 Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted. The number of rising seniors selected for this summer’s school will be based on funds raised through the end of March 2010 and the ability of the district and/or parents to assume approximately one-half of the costs ($500.00).
This year’s School is tentatively slated for Sunday, June 20 - Saturday, June 26.
Applications and detailed information will be posted online on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at www.ssco.org/essex/index.htm. Completed applications must be postmarked by Monday, March 22, 2010.
Selection will occur in early April with notification to students and districts by April 16, 2010. Please note: Contributions/Gifts for the Essex School will be accepted through the SSCO offices with checks made payable to “Martin W. Essex School for the Gifted” and sent to SSCO, 936 Eastwind Drive, Suite 100, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Inquiries should be directed to Paul E. Until the selection process has been completed and Essex students named in April, no payment will be collected from districts and/or parents.
